Charlene is an Advanced Accredited Practising Dietitian who has specialised in the dietary management of IBS, food intolerances, gastrointestinal diseases and bariatric surgery over the last 8 years. Having helped thousands of patients during this time she is well known by specialists and GPs for her extensive knowledge and training in the low FODMAP diet.
Charlene has been instrumental in the setup of the Bariatric Dietitians Working Group (WA) and the Dietitian’s Associations National Bariatric Interest Groups to help ensure patients receive excellent nutrition care.
She is an invited guest speaker at GP, surgeon and Dietitian professional development training programs for both the role of FODMAPs in managing gastrointestinal symptoms and on the role of nutrition in weight loss surgery.
Charlene is Manager of Allied Health (St John of God Subiaco Hospital and Spokesperson for the Dietitians Association where she has been interviewed on TV, radio, newspaper and magazine.
Charlene is passionate about the role dietitians have to play in managing health and has established Specialised Nutrition Care to provide leading dietetic support in these complex areas of health.
